About Men’s Sheds Association
The Men’s Sheds Association of Edmonton (MSAE) was created in 2018 to build awareness of the Men’s Sheds concept, history, and global development.

Our Purpose and Plan
To create awareness the Association needed social media tools, a website, and other resources to facilitate awareness building across the Capital Region. The Living Hope Suicide Prevention Strategy believed Men’s Sheds could be a valuable piece in the suicide prevention process and provided funding to develop the tools.
MSAE facilitated the development of six Sheds in Edmonton, four survived COVID and are in a rebuilding process.
Currently MSAE is active on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and is currently launching this website.
MSAE has been active in the Capital Region doing conference presentations and ZOOM sessions with many community groups interested in Men’s Sheds.
The City of Edmonton and SAGE have been active supporters of Men’s Shed development providing advisory support. In addition, SAGE provides support to the Downtown Men’s Shed.
The future of MSAE lies in the continued awareness building and Shed Development in urban Edmonton where space for Sheds is a major challenge.
